1 Month and Counting!

It's been one month and Aayush is blossoming as a little human being! He is getting to have new experiences now that he is older. His cord (finally) fell off around the end of the month and he got to enjoy his first bath! We love how curly his hair gets when it's wet :)

Aayush also LOVES to cuddle and get all wrapped up. Dadi, who is in town to help us out, is an expert at getting him calm and sleepy!

He is still very vocal and we love all the sounds he makes when he is alert. He has great head control and loves to look around at all the decorations in the apartment. He gained 3 pounds in his first month (hence the chipmunk cheeks!), and he moves his arms and legs much more. He is going to be an expressive little kid!

This little guy is growing up and has captured all of our hearts. We can't wait to see what month 2 has in store!

First few weeks with Naniji!

Aayush (and we) were SO fortunate to have his Naniji in town for the first 3 weeks of his life! She was around for the delivery and to show us the ropes as new parents.

Aayush loved being cuddled by his Naniji, and on his especially fussy nights, she was a lifesaver! She knew just what to do to calm and comfort him!

A grandmother's love is so special, and we can't wait to spend time with Naniji again soon! Thank you so much for coming to spend so much time with us!

Learning to play and sing!

Though his cord hasn't fallen off yet, we can tell Aayush is going to love bath time eventually because he really enjoys the sponge baths. He gets a little bit upset at diaper changes sometimes, but loves being clean and warm afterwards!

He is also spending some time playing, cooing and interacting every day as he gets more and more aware of the world around him. We love this time when he's active! He is also practicing tummy time and is a champ at holding his head up!
